I think this year the title race will be between juve and inter. I watched a bit of Juve vs. Livorno and while livorno were able to hold their own and carry the ball to juves area .. juve's incredible defense would shut down their every opportunity until you can tell the livorn players were getting so frustrated they were taking opportunities from 30 meteres out. Tommorows big match is roma vs fiorentina. Roma need to win tommorow to put themselves back into the top 10 but fiorentina seem pretty determined and both teams probably fueled from losses in the CL and UEFA earlier this week.

It certainly looks as if its going to be between Inter and Juve, but it would be nice to see at least one other team join the party. Could this be Fiorentina? Its a huge game for them tonight and one they must win if they are to finally make the challenge that perhaps they should have made last season. Milan are not out of it yet though, the 1999 side was shakey at times but they ended up winners in the end.

This weekend the Serie A newbies (Parma, Chievo, Bari) made a point that they too can contend in Serie A by beating winning. In Bari's case they even won 4-1. This just goes to show the unpredictability once again of Serie A. Roma seemed to bounce back in their campaign and demolished fiorentina. I think Juve are probably going to be this years strongest italian team since not only do they have great players but also have to depth to handle many competitions.

Looking forward to tommorows round of action. Ir be watching Lazio v Parma, then Inter v Napoli on video after. Great games elsewhere also in Udinese v Milan, Palermo v Roma, Fiorentina v Samp and on Thursday Genoa v Juventus.
Interesting to see how Bari get on though, they could be on nine points tomorrow night if they can defeat Cagliari at home. Would be an amazing start.

Sampdoria is off to a great start. 4n0. Tied Juventus on the table but ahead of goals scored. I think this team has a good scudetto chance this year. OK, even if they don’t, I think we’re going to see them with a good season. Compared to last year we’re gonna see a different team this season.

Not anymore. They lost today to Fiorentina 2-0.. but they can't complain since they are still in good position in the table. Wow! Milan is not convincing at all this year .. i thought this would be their year to contend for the scudetto . .they aren't the same team they used to be.

Looks as if Its going to be a really tight season in Serie A this year. Udine hitting their stride, beating Genoa today following up from their win against Milan. Sampdoria dowing Inter last night and Juve being held by Bologna. Dam, Lazio could only draw though despite totally outplaying Palermo.

I watched the Sampdoria vs. Inter game. Wow! The Blucerchiati displayed a very aggressive and compact side. I really enjoyed watching them beat Inter. They now have the honor of being the first team to beat Inter this season.
BTW, is it me or is there a really big change in Cassanos attitude?

Watching the Bayern München vs Juventus game. Bayern is looking really good in this game. Toni not playing. Very aggressive team.

I didn't watch the game, but from what I read Juve blew some good chances. The game was scoreless. Milan on the other hand, were beaten at home 1-0 by FC Zurich. So, this goes back to the question: how good are these Italian teams this year?

Whether your dissapointed from your teams performance or not .. no one can deny that this has been an unpredictable season so far. I watched the following matches: Inter vs. Genoa - while genoa were off to a strong start and gave up two of their prized posessions to Inter in the summer market (milito and motta) they were ravaged by a merciless Inter 5-0. All 5 goals by different players and if you haven't seen the game i recommend watching the highlights: This morning I watched Lazio vs. Sampdoria which was a pretty evenly balanced game yet ended in a draw. Roma vs Milan was another exciting game. Roma were winning 1-0 and milan came back to tie it up with a penalty and another goal from pato to win the game. I'm a little surprised to see teams like udinese, roma, lazio, napoli all in the bottom 10 .. other than Inter and Samp with a nice lead at the top .. all teams aren't separated by big margins.
